It’s what the lollipop was warning you about. Facebook has been hacked and users have been ‘tricked’ into looking at pornography on facebook. It just goes to show you (once again) that nothing is really safe online.

This is an interesting story, and I found that it was very well covered. I liked the interviews that were done with professors, and I was surprised at the lack of streeters. I would have anticipated that this would be a story that the reporter would want to get the general public’s opinion, but I think that it works much better this way.

I really liked the flow of the story. The reporter must have had a very clear idea of what he wanted from the story because after he was done explaining the issue he asked a question that explored it more in depth: “Will this make people leave Facebook?” Usually in news stories the reporter does not have the time to really dive into the heart of the issue, and I think the reporter did a good job with this.

The visuals were very well done as well; the interviews were done in interesting places with good backgrounds and there were lots of shots of Facebook, and the other websites that they were talking about. However, some of the shots I found a little fuzzy; like the camera was not up to par with the technical aspects of shooting computer screens.

The story is very important for any social media user, and I am glad that Global News covered it.
